 Rotair's quality assurance department reports directly to the president. The quality process begins in the selection of our employees and our suppliers, and extends to the final inspection of parts, their packaging and shipment to you. Our quality procedures require that we maintain permanent records of manufacturing, testing and inspection of all components.The quality process includes on-site surveys of our subcontractors before orders are placed and continuing surveillance during the production cycle. Finished parts arriving at our plant are thoroughly checked against drawings and specifications before acceptance. Our Technical Data Department continually updates drawings and specifications to ensure that all information is current, complete and legible. Rotair's quality system conforms to a written manual implementing U.S. Department of Defense quality specifications MIL-I-45208A and MIL-Q-9858A, as well as U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 21 requirements for Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA).  Rotair uses the latest in high technology inspection and testing equipment. Typical of this advanced equipment are a coordinate measuring machine for faster, more accurate checking of parts against specifications, and a Bendix 6040 Formax, which measures and records the geometry of round parts to extreme accuracies.In addition, our equipment includes a complete selection of hardness testers, optical comparators, an electronic surface finish instrument, film and plating thickness testers, and electrical and hydraulic test stands. All gauges, measuring devices and testing instruments are calibrated periodically in conformance to MIL-STD-45662. The result of this attention to quality in our organization and our procedures is a proven record of excellence. Our parts are easily as reliable as those of the prime manufacturer - and often, they are superior. |
